‘Barroz’ box office: Mohanlal’s directorial debut reportedly earns Rs. 3.6 crores on opening day

The Malayalam version of superstar Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz, has reportedly opened to Rs 3.6 crores at the box office on Christmas day. Considering the 3D fantasy film was reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 100 crores, the meagre opening at the box office and the largely negative reviews from the critics are in deed concerning.
The Rs 3.6 crore figure, as reported by Sacnilk, is less than that of Malakottai Vaaliban, Mohanlal’s film with Lijo Jose Pellissery, which opened earlier this year at Rs 5.6 crores.
